It all began with a dream that was realized only after much prayer, hard work, and the generosity of both well-known great benefactors and gracious benefactors who are only known to God. Back in 1977, a few Greek Orthodox families started discussing the possibility of building a church in the area.

The Priest, as the servant/leader, oversees the entire life of our Church with the Parish Council and with the support and efforts of all who volunteer, assist, and labor for our Parish.

All Orthodox Christian Parishioners in good standing for one year are eligible to run for one of the nineteen elected positions.

Philoptochos is a nationally chartered women's organization assisting the needy and the poor on an international, national, and local level.

To offer praises to God through Byzantine hymnology in our Divine Services.

To maintain proper church etiquette and help the congregation in entering and exiting the Church in a reverent and dignified manner.

Membership in the Parish is above all, a spiritual relationship among all those who make up the "Body of Christ" in the area served by the Church of Kimisis Tis Theotokou of the Hamptons.
